LEISURE
CONNECTION CHOOSES QUICK LEISURE'S TECHNOLOGY FOR ROLLOUT
October 2006
Leisure
Connection, the leading operator of over 80 sports and leisure
centres on behalf of local authorities, have chosen Quick
Leisure's innovative Training Cub to enhance its existing
facilities.
Leisure Connection have extended their
service offering to members with the investment of Quick
Leisure’s Training Cub, a unique touch-screen system that
allows users and personal trainers to programme a series of
workouts suited to members of all fitness levels.
Sam Howells, Company Sports Scientist at Leisure Connection
comments, "[The Training Cub] is a great alternative to
standard exercise routines and many of our members have given us
very positive feedback after using it. The abs and strength
workouts have proved very popular with everyone so far and I am
sure that they will continue to do so.”
The Training Cub helps to support personal trainers in
structuring and providing exercise programmes during periods
when they aren’t physically available, keeping gym utilisation
at an optimum, even at off-peak periods. “It has definitely
improved the variety of workouts which we can offer to our
customers without overloading our staff with additional
work."
The system’s versatility has given it a broad appeal, proven
to be a major factor in its success with Leisure Connection’s
members. Sam goes on to say, “The machine is great for more
reserved or self-conscious members who prefer to train on their
own or in small groups without having to approach Fitness
Instructors to remind them of how to do certain exercises - the
younger members also love the machine as it is a fun way of
exercising.”
Glen Jones, Product Director at Quick Leisure says: “Being
welcomed into Leisure Connection is a testament to the
innovative design and quality of the Training Cub. Providing a
great way for members to train by themselves or with a personal
trainer, the Cub is a brand new training solution. We are
looking forward to a successful relationship with Leisure
Connection.” |
